It is expected that Tiger Woods should win. He enters the 2008 U.S. open on what is considered his home course and wins. Who did not expect it? He played poorly through much of the tournament and still persevered to take the victory. Rocco gave him a grand run for his money, but at the end of the day everyone expected Tiger to win even though we knew he was injured. But just how injured is the matter I bring up here. Is it a grand achievement for Tiger - the great one - to win the open with a leg that clearly hurts? Not really, it's expected of him. But now we learn that he did it - walking 91 holes and battling the entire way - with a double stress fracture as well as an injured ACL. I say this gives the champion all rights to the moniker 'Warrior'.

A double stress fracture and 91 holes!!
